DUKE OF ED

More opportunities to explore, grow and discover what you're capable of.

At WBYM, we believe where you grow up shouldn’t determine how big you can dream.

That’s why, alongside our mentoring program, we’re proud to be an Open Award Centre for The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (Duke of Ed).

The Duke of Ed gives young people aged 14–24 the opportunity to set their own goals, try new things, build skills, contribute to their community and take on challenges outside the classroom. With activities chosen around their own interests and passions, every young person’s journey can look different.

For country young people, opportunities to explore new interests, connect with others, develop practical skills and step outside their usual experiences aren’t always as easy to access. As an Open Award Centre, WBYM provides another pathway for young people across regional, rural and remote WA to participate in the Duke of Ed.

The Duke of Ed is a globally recognised youth development program that encourages young people to challenge themselves, discover their interests and develop skills for life.

If you’re a young person aged 14–24 and would like to find out more about completing your Duke of Ed through WBYM, get in touch with us.

Your journey. Your goals. Your challenge. Your achievement.
